My wife and kids (13 & 8) even help me, either by reporting their own experiences or, creating a "wall" - they engage the employee while I sit back and observe. I have been doing this type of work for 10 years and have never been hindered by being a male. You go guy-friend! I concur with Jay.

I have done almost every type of shop available, yes, men can be mystery shoppers! Sometimes I invite my wife along for apartment hunting or as a partner in restaurant shops, or even one of the kids to help hang signs for a marketing assignment. It's extra money for birthdays and holidays (put the checks in a jar and before you know it, you’ve got enough for a night out or new tires) and it pays well most of the time...
