If you want to get more secret shopping assignments, there are several things you can do. But here is a quick and easy tip you may not have considered . . .

Keep the last week of the month open for last-minute opportunities. You know that 25% of the time shoppers flake on assignments, right? (It is true.) Well, someone has to do the work they didn’t. That can be you.

Because many reports have to be to the client by the end of the month, schedulers have to find shoppers who can take on these last-minute jobs. If your schedule is full, you can not help. But if you have some time available, you may be able to pick up extra shops–and extra cash. Because these shops have tight deadlines, you may even be offered bonuses for some of them.

This doesn’t mean you should turn down assignments in the hope of picking up these dropped shops. It does mean you should make sure your shops are done as early as possible, so you can be available when unexpected work turns up.

Consider sending a short email to some of the schedulers with whom you often work, or those you are trying to build relationships with, letting them know that you are available if they have last-minute shops or cancellations.
