You can get training there, and you may be able to find some companies that will give you a chance if you have gone through the NARMS training. Also, if a company has jobs that are hard to fill they may be more willing to give an inexperienced merchandiser a chance. Watch for those. I want to do Merchandising. I have spent 18 years as a restaurant manager earning a top income. I am currently in college again and plan to study Internet Marketing and it is very frustrating to apply and not be chosen or not apply because it states that you must have experience. I know that I am easily trainable for these positions and would do a great job. It would help me earn some money while I go to school but I cannot seem to land that job. Please advise. Cathy,
