Another thing to watch out for is the traffic and the madness in the shops that will slow you down. Allow enough time. I accepted 4 assignments on the Saturday of the 4th of July weekend in sunny southern California. I had to write in that I could not finish one of the shops because I was driving bumper to bumper; 5 miles an hour at some points out on the freeways. Once in the shops I also struggled to get the attention of the employee and at one shop I asked the customer he was helping if I could listen along. I was so lucky because she said she knew nothing about the product and asked if I would not just listen but ask the appropriate questions! But, again I could not get to the last shop in time. It was very disappointing as I do not want any negative scores on my accounts. I was lucky a second time because my schedulers were understanding. I had offered to do the shop ANY other time and I was scheduled. I was scheduled on a day that I was planning on doing any shops and had to leave the house and drive quite a distance simply to keep my word and a good standing with the company that I work for.
